Focus area 4: Banking and Finance

Focus area 5: Monetary Policy Implementation

Research in this area examines how the Eurosystem’s operational framework and money market conditions influence banks’ funding, liquidity, and lending to firms, using granular data to trace monetary policy transmission and inform framework and policy design.

Focus area 6: Economics of climate change, climate policy and nature capital

Research in this area assesses how climate change and climate policy impact price and financial stability, central bank policies, and frameworks, examining macroeconomic and financial effects, policy effectiveness, side effects, and the economics of natural capital and ecosystem services.
