New design, new opportunities. The job portal is being redesigned. Current job vacancies that have not yet been transferred to the new job portal can still be found on our old job board. It’s well worth having a look there too!

Accessibility declaration

1. Scope and legal basis

This accessibility statement applies to the Deutsche Bundesbank’s job portal. It comprises all publicly accessible pages of the job portal, which display job vacancies and enable online applications.

The legal requirements for accessibility are based on:

The EU Directive (EU) 2016/2102, the Act on Equal Opportunities for Disabled Persons (BGG), the Barrier-free Information Technology Regulation (BITV 2.0), the EN 301 549 standard in conjunction with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1), stages A and AA.

2. Accessibility status

The job portal is currently not fully accessible and does not yet meet the requirements of WCAG 2.1 (stages A and AA) in all respects. An external inspection has identified barriers in various areas, including:

  • Keyboard usability,
  • Representation of the focus,
  • Alternative text,
  • Structure and semantics,
  • Contrast,
  • Form access points,
  • Provide information in easy language.

3. Barriers identified and planned measures

The following barriers were identified. We are working to resolve these gradually:

  • Alternative texts: In some cases, alternative texts are missing or are not sufficiently informative. It is planned to update the alternative text alternatives and supplementary descriptions for complex graphics.
  • Keyboard operation and focus guidance: Some functions are not fully operable via the keyboard, and focus is not always clearly visible. A technical revision is planned.
  • Contrast: Text and controls sometimes exhibit poor colour contrast, especially in high contrast mode. It is planned to adjust the colour design.
  • Forms: Labels and groupings are not always consistent or missing. Notes are sometimes issued twice. Correct linking and unique output will be improved.
  • Structure and semantics: Headings, lists, and other structure elements are not always correctly marked or grouped. A revision of the semantic award is planned.
  • Language: Individual content and error messages are displayed in English. Consistent translation of all content into German is ensured.
  • Layout and scaling: When you increase or adjust font or text spacing, you may experience display problems. The responsive layout is adjusted accordingly.
  • Easy language: Easy language explanations are missing. The provision of appropriate content is planned.

4. Preparation of this declaration

This statement was prepared on the 05/09/2026 and is based on an external audit in April 2026.

5. Feedback and contact

If you encounter any barriers, please use the contact form (external job portal) or contact form (internal job portal) to send us a note describing where you noticed the error. You can also contact us by email at jobportal.technischer-support@bundesbank.de.

6. Arbitration proceedings

If you believe that the job portal is not sufficiently accessible to people with disabilities, you can contact the arbitration board pursuant to the Act on Equal Opportunities for Disabled Persons. There you can find out how an arbitration procedure is conducted and how you apply for arbitration.

You can reach the arbitration board at the following address:
